Senior Interior Designer / Interior Architect

Heidi Gubbins Interior Design Studio is looking for a Senior Interior Designer / Interior Architect with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our creative team in a full-time, on-site position.

We are seeking a highly organised and passionate professional who combines creativity, technical expertise, and strong project coordination skills. The ideal candidate will be confident managing projects from concept development through technical implementation, supplier coordination, budgeting, site supervision, and final installation.

Our studio specialises in refined, timeless interiors with a strong focus on materiality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

This role is adecuado for someone who thrives in a fast-paced studio environment, is comfortable managing multiple projects and tight deadlines, and consistently delivers outstanding design quality and flawless execution under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative concepts, presentations, and mood boards.
- Select furniture, materials, finishes, lighting, and accessories across different budget levels.
- Prepare technical drawings and detailed documentation using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and external consultants.
- Prepare accurate budgets and quotations.
- Monitor project schedules, site progress, installations, and overall project execution.
- Attend site visits and support project implementation.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborate closely with the studio team and external partners.





Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- Fluent Spanish (required); basic English is acceptable.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent technical drawing and construction detailing skills.
- Experience working with suppliers, procurement, budgeting, purchasing, and installations.
- Outstanding organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration throughout all project phases.
- Must currently reside in Marbella or the surrounding area (essential requirement).

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in high-end residential interior design.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or rendering software.
- Experience working on international projects and with international suppliers.

Additional Information

The stated salary range is indicative and represents the annual gross salary. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and suitability for the role.
