At ING Hubs Spain we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer

Your role and work environment

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Java Developer to join our DDoS Squad within the Integral Security Organization (GSO).

The responsibility of this team is to design, develop and maintain software solutions that manage firewall rules and strengthen the security of ING's global network infrastructure. The squad operates in an international environment with colleagues located across several countries, working together to deliver secure, scalable and resilient solutions.

Our way of working is based on Agile and DevOps principles, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and end-to-end ownership. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that support ING's security landscape.

Your key responsibilities

As a Java Engineer, you will:

Design, develop and enhance software functionalities using Spring Boot and Java technologies.




Build and deploy solutions following CI/CD best practices and automated deployment pipelines.
Develop and automate infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, refinement and continuous delivery activities.
Maintain and improve software documentation, operational procedures and development standards.
Monitor and optimize Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management processes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of applications, infrastructure and engineering practices.

Essential requirements:
