Overview

Under general supervision the Electrical Technician I is responsible for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Installs and replaces lightbulbs
Perform breaker resets, ballast and electrical wiringInspects and maintains primary service installations and power distribution systemsFollows basic electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout procedureCompletes work orders and paperwork related to job tasksPerforms duties in accordance with departmental and regulatory safety procedures and standards

Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivlant, Journeyman Elctrician certification is highly preferred
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions
- Knowledge of electrical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Proficient computer skills are required. AutoCAD experience a plus




- 0-5 years experience performing basic electrical repair and installation
- Ability to properly use of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, install lighting
- Ability to prepare, install nd connect electrical wiring

Physical Demands
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
