The Mission
Your goal is to enable a Projected Balance Sheetupdated on a daily basis. By mastering the flow of multi-entity, multi-currency postings, you will provide the ALM function with the data they need to make critical hedging decisions intramonth, protecting the group from currency volatility before the books are even closed.
The Role: Strategic Financial Infrastructure
This is a domain-heavy role.
You will be the "source of truth" architect, ensuring that our systems handle complex FX logic at the posting level rather than through manual adjustments.
- Daily Ledger Integrity: Design and oversee the logic that converts transactional events into daily GL postings.
- Projected Balance Sheets: Build the capability for ALM to view a "live" balance sheet, allowing for intramonth hedging of FX exposure.
- Multi-Entity & Consolidation: Manage the complexity of a multi-entity group. You will define how local entity balance sheets (in functional currencies) are translated and consolidated into the Group reporting currency.
- FX Exposure Management: Identify and isolate currency exposure arising from:Translation Risk (Converting multi-currency balance sheets for consolidation and Transaction Risk:Daily fluctuations within the sub-ledgers.
- Stakeholder Challenge: You will act as the bridge between the Treasurer and the Head of Acco
