Job Title: Principal Engineer – Software Assurance

Job Description:
You will be a technical leader working in the software assurance team. You will work with system designers and our suppliers to ensure the safety, quality and reliability of the delivered products.



You will ensure that the boat’s safety and functional requirements are met and that risk is identified and managed .
Core duties:
- Taking a strategic approach to solving complex problems to ensure customer acceptance within a wider programme of work
- Development of capability withing the team and the wider business
- Plan and carry out software assurance activities including reviews of plans, processes, witnessing testing, inspections and auditing
- Review software plans, documentation and software aspects of system level plans and documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Engaging with system designers, other engineering disciplines and software developers to in the design process to ensure that software meets requirements
- Document the level of risk, provide evidence and reporting for senior management
- Work with a range of stakeholders at all levels to resolve non-conformances and programme
