We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop-Based Plant Fitter to join our team. Responsibilities
As a Workshop-Based Plant Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.





Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, preferably in a workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
- Inspecting and diagnosing machinery brought into the workshop.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Testing equipment to ensure it is fully operational before returning it to service.
- Collaborating with colleagues to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
