Role Description The IoT Support Engineer at UnaBiz Spain will provide technical assistance for IoT devices and platforms, ensuring reliable operation and prompt resolution of incidents. This full-time, on-site role is based in Madrid and involves diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues, as well as coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex cases. Daily responsibilities include responding to support tickets, analyzing logs, testing configurations, documenting solutions, and contributing to knowledge base articles.

The role also includes onboarding new customers to IoT solutions, guiding them through setup and best practices, and monitoring system performance to proactively detect and address potential issues. The IoT Support Engineer will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to escalate issues, suggest improvements, and support service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving IoT-related hardware, software, and network issues.
- Proven experience in technical support environments,



ideally supporting connected devices or SaaS platforms.
- Customer support and customer service skills to manage inquiries, explain technical concepts clearly, and maintain a professional, solution-focused approach.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and basic networking concepts relevant to IoT deployments.
- Ability to document incidents, solutions, and processes and contribute to internal and external knowledge bases.
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work on-site in Madrid, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tickets and priorities.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and platforms (e.g., MQTT, REST APIs, device management systems) is an advantage.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role within telecom, IoT, or technology services is a plus.
