Role Summary The Permit to Work (PTW) Officer is responsible for coordinating and controlling all Permit to Work processes, as well as reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) across assigned projects.

As a key member of the Site Team, the PTW Officer will ensure that all work activities are appropriately assessed, authorised, and carried out safely in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and project requirements.

The role plays an important part in mitigating risk, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring continuous improvement across safe systems of work.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the review and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for activities associated with the construction of a converter station within the energy sector.
- Coordinate the completion, control, and documentation of Permit to Work documentation, including maintenance of the PTW database.
- Cross-reference Permit to Work documentation with relevant isolation tags.
- Control the return, closure, and extension of Permit to Work documentation.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of Authorised Applicants and Senior Authorised Persons currently on site.
- Conduct random checks of contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with Permit to Work procedures.
- Control and securely store authorised tools and equipment used within the Permit to Work system, including locks and isolation tags.





Team & Interface Management The PTW Officer is responsible for the coordination and functional oversight of Permit to Work processes and RAMS management across the site, including activities undertaken by contractors. The position ensures effective alignment between site execution activities and established safety procedures by providing guidance, review, and support to site teams regarding safe systems of work.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, project execution, Environment, Quality & Safety (EQS) teams, and contractors to ensure that permits and RAMS are consistently implemented, controlled, and compliant with project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- University degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Senior Technician qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in positions involving the management of work procedures on construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Previous experience within industrial, energy, or construction projects is preferred.
- Experience in risk management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Professional fluency in both Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Availability to work at either Castellón or Alcúdia.

Please note: One PTW Officer is required for Castellón and one PTW Officer for Alcúdia.
