What if your internship wasn’t spent sitting behind a desk?

City Explorer is looking for curious, creative university students in Barcelona who want to explore their surroundings and broadcast real life as it happens.

Livestream from historic neighbourhoods, local markets, food spots, cultural spaces, events, parks, beaches and places visitors do not normally discover.

The internship is coordinated remotely, while livestreams are completed on location throughout Barcelona and the surrounding area.

You can talk to your audience—or let your surroundings speak for themselves while our moderators manage the live chat.

No previous livestreaming experience. No existing audience. No relocation. And you don’t need to show your face.

Important eligibility requirement

This opportunity is exclusively for currently enrolled university students who must complete a required internship as part of their degree.

The placement must be formally approved by your university. Selected candidates will be required to provide the relevant university documentation before beginning.

We cannot accept graduates or applicants seeking an independent internship.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an influencer or live in the city centre.

We’re looking for reliable, creative university students who are curious about Barcelona and interested in media, travel, tourism, culture, communications or content creation.

You will need

- To be based in Barcelona or the surrounding metropolitan area
- A smartphone with a good camera
- Reliable mobile data
- Good knowledge of Barcelona and the surrounding area
- Conversational English
- The ability to follow a consistent weekly schedule

Spanish, Catalan and additional languages are welcome.

Commitment: minimum six months · minimum 10 livestreaming hours per week · remotely coordinated from anywhere in the Barcelona area

This is an unpaid internship. City Explorer provides the equipment, training, coaching, promotion and platform. Explorers may also receive tips from viewers.
