In this role you will build, operate, and evolve the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) to deliver scalable, high-availability AWS services for EU customers. You will collaborate with global AWS teams and technology leaders to improve availability, reliability, latency, and efficiency, while occasionally participating in on-call rotations. The position combines hands-on operations with mentoring, script development, and process improvements to drive continuous improvement.
You will help educate service teams about ESC complexities and contribute to a resilient, best-in-class development and operations culture.

- Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the ESC
- Collaborate with general AWS teams and technology leaders
- Enhance day-to-day operations and drive improvements in availability, reliability, latency,
performance, and efficiency
- Participate in 24x7 on-call incident resolution
- Root-cause issues and craft actionable bug reports
- Develop and test scripts to streamline workflows
- Provide feedback on change management documents and address operational backlog
- Educate service teams about the European Sovereign Cloud and its complexities
Responsabilidades
- Linux OS and network xugodme troubleshooting experience
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar)
- Systems engineering or site reliability engineering experience at scale
- EU national and resident in EU (as required)
- Ability to create, revise, and improve SOPs and drive operational best practices
