? We’re hiring: Junior Underwriter | French Speaking | Belgium

Are you looking to build a career in the insurance industry and have a strong interest in understanding risk, analyzing information, and making commercial decisions?

We’re currently looking for a French-speaking Junior Underwriter to join an established and growing international insurance organization.

This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is curious, analytical, commercially minded, and genuinely interested in insurance. Previous underwriting experience is welcome, but not essential - what matters most is your attitude, potential, and willingness to learn.

? About the role

As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to develop your knowledge of insurance, risk assessment, and underwriting.

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility, supporting the assessment and management of insurance risks while working with brokers, clients, and internal teams.

? What you’ll be doing

- ? Support the assessment of new and existing insurance risks.
- ? Review and analyse information to help inform underwriting decisions.
- ? Assist with applications, renewals, and policy changes.
- ? Develop your understanding of risk, insurance products, and underwriting principles.
- ? Build relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
- ? Communicate clearly and professionally with different stakeholders.
- ? Monitor accounts and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- ? Ensure information and underwriting decisions are accurate and well documented.
- ? Work closely with experienced underwriters and other teams.




- ? Continuously develop your technical and commercial insurance knowledge.

? What we’re looking for

- ?? Fluent French is essential.
- ?️ A genuine interest in building a career in insurance.
- ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ? Comfortable working with information, numbers, and data.
- ? Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- ? Commercially aware, organised, and eager to learn.
- ? Comfortable working with digital tools and systems.
- ?? Good English communication skills.

Previous underwriting or insurance experience is a plus, but not required.
