The Barcelona Institute for General Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
ISGlobal is seeking a Policy analyst who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project SCAL. The overall project goal is to assess the impact of Official Development Cuts (ODA) on European health security and pandemic preparedness.



The linkage between ODA cuts and European health security remains strikingly absent from mainstream political debate.

The project is designed to bridge that gap by building cross-cutting evidence based and communication strategy that reframes development cooperation as a matter of direct European self-interest.

The project is jointly led by ISGlobal's Preparedness and Response Hub and Policy, Development and Advocacy Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participation in the daily activities and projects of the ISGlobal’s Preparedness Hub and

the Policy, Development and Advocacy teams, under the direct supervision of both

team coordinators and the general supervision of the Preparedness Hub chair and co
- chair.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Participate in a structured literature review and strategic blueprint identifying the

highest-impact evidence gaps.
- Document how ODA cuts have already weakened the global health security
