The Opportunity

We’re recruiting a Lead UX Designer for a large general technology organisation to define the future experience for one of its most complex product and service areas.

The focus is

implementation

: the end-to-end experience of getting sophisticated global payroll products configured, set up and ready for customers to use. Today, that journey spans multiple products, tools, teams and manual processes. The ambition is to step beyond those current constraints and establish a compelling

future-state experience vision

for how implementation should ultimately work.

This is not about incrementally improving individual screens.

It’s an opportunity to take a very large, complex domain, understand how all the pieces fit together and define an end-to-end experience that multiple teams can work towards over the coming year and beyond.

The Role

You’ll lead the UX and experience vision for implementation across a global payroll ecosystem.



Working alongside an experienced research and service design partner, you’ll build on research already completed and translate it into a clear vision for the future experience.

You’ll need to operate at multiple levels, mapping and designing the overarching end-to-end journey, while knowing when to go deeper into specific interactions or concepts to make that vision tangible.

You will not be expected to design every part of the eventual solution. Your role is to

define where the experience needs to go and create enough clarity and conviction for teams to work towards it.

The stakeholder landscape is significant. You’ll work across product, technology and operational business teams, including people responsible for many of the manual implementation processes that exist today.

As a result, this role needs someone who can do more than produce excellent UX work. You’ll need to
