Housing Advisor (Out of Hospital) - Cambridge
The Role and About the Person you are looking for:
We are recruiting for a Housing Advisor (Out of Hospital) to join our busy Housing Advice team.
The role is responsible for holding a caseload, carrying out statutory functions under homelessness legislation and offering tailored housing advice and options to prevent and relieve homelessness for people being discharged from hospital.
The role is also the key liaison point for colleagues in health services and regularly attends MDT meetings, information sharing forums, as well as visiting wards and services to promote the role and referrals.
You will be:
- Confident managing a caseload, offering complex advice and making decisions on homeless applications.
- An excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with partner agencies.
- Able to work on your own initiative to promote and develop the role and maximise its effectiveness.

Knowledge of housing, homelessness, welfare, health or social care services would be advantageous.




To travel around Cambridge is required within this post.
An Enhanced DBS check required is required on this post.
