International Industrial Machinery | Automation & Controls | Spain

We are supporting an established international industrial machinery company in the search for an Automation Engineer to join its engineering team.

The company designs, manufactures and provides technical support for highly automated industrial equipment used by customers across international markets. With a strong focus on technology, innovation and continuous improvement, the business operates in a highly technical, engineering-driven environment where automation plays a critical role in machine performance and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As an Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for the development, programming, commissioning and technical support of industrial automation systems and machinery.
This is a hands-on role combining PLC programming, machine commissioning, troubleshooting and customer technical support , with significant exposure to complex industrial equipment and international projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse, design and program industrial automation systems.
Develop,



modify and maintain PLC and SCADA/HMI applications .
Commission and start up machinery at customer sites.
Integrate third-party equipment and systems into automated machinery.
Troubleshoot automation, control and communication issues.
Provide technical support to customers, both remotely and on site.
Work closely with Engineering and After Sales teams to resolve technical issues.
Prepare clear and accurate operational and maintenance documentation.
Support continuous improvement of automation solutions and machine performance.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics or a related technical discipline.
Solid professional experience in industrial automation and PLC programming .
Strong experience with CODESYS .
Practical experience with SCADA/HMI systems .
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CAN and Industr
