Public call for applications for Trainee Predoctoral Research Staff (PIPF) contracts as part of the project BIOPOLE_PIPF26003
The PhD position is aimed at a highly motivated candidate with a Chemistry degree and a MSc in Chemistry, Nanoscience or related field. Experience in organic and inorganic synthesis, coordination chemistry, molecular catalysis, photochemistry, photocatalysis or polymersome chemistry will be positively valued. Familiarity with molecular characterization techniques such as NMR, IR, UV-vis spectroscopy,



fluorescence spectroscopy, electrochemistry or microscopy will also be an asset. Familiarity with Schlenk techniques and inert atmosphere handling. The adecuado candidate is interested to apply their background in chemistry to the development of new hybrid compartmentalized systems for artificial photosynthesis, CO₂ valorisation and solar fuels, and is ready to work in an interdisciplinary, international environment, combining synthesis, spectroscopy and catalysis.
Specific Requirements
This PhD project lies at the interface of catalysis, polymer chemistry, nanoscience, photochemistry and artificial photosynthesis, aiming to develop bioinspired catalytic polymersomes for solar fuels and chemicals.
