The British School of Almería is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and highly motivated Business and Mathematics Teacher.

The successful candidate will teach both subjects in English, following the British education system. The post holder will have strong subject knowledge, a genuine enthusiasm for Business and Mathematics, and experience of preparing pupils for IGCSE and A Level examinations. They will plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons; promote analytical, problem-solving, financial literacy and independent-learning skills; and support every pupil to achieve their individual potential.

Role-Specific Duties
- Teach Business and Mathematics in English throughout the Secondary School (Key Stages 3–5), including IGCSE and A Level where required.
- Plan coherent schemes of learning that align with the British education system, relevant examination specifications and school policies.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that develop mathematical fluency, reasoning, problem solving, commercial awareness, enterprise and analytical thinking.




- Prepare pupils effectively for external examinations, including IGCSE, AS and A Level, as applicable.
- Promote Business and Mathematics through curricular, cross-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including enrichment, competitions, enterprise initiatives or revision support.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive and well-resourced learning environment, making appropriate use of digital and technological resources.
- Monitor pupil progress, identify gaps in learning and implement appropriate intervention and challenge.
- Contribute actively to the development and improvement of the Business and Mathematics departments and their examination outcomes.
- Support colleagues, where appropriate, with subject-specific knowledge, resources and effective teaching approaches.
