About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Leisure Centre Assistant Manager to support the overall management and operations of their busy facility in Queenstown . This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of daily activities, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service and facility upkeep. You will work closely with the Centre Manager to implement operational strategies, manage resources, and enhance the member experience across all departments, including fitness, sports, and recreational facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Centre Manager in overseeing all operational aspects of the leisure centre.
- Supervise and support a diverse team of front-line staff, including receptionists, fitness instructors, and cleaning personnel.
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met, handling inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.




- Oversee facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety compliance across all areas.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
- Manage staff rotas, payroll inputs, and inventory of supplies.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the leisure or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of leisure centre operations, including fitness, aquatics, and sports facilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff, budgets, and operational resources.
- Commitment to health, safety, and customer service excellence.
- Relevant certifications in First Aid and CPR are advantageous.
