Site Overview:
Our Falces manufacturing site, located in Navarra, Spain, is a manufacturing hub for producing core materials used in wind, marine, and industrial applications. Purpose of the function:
Act as a senior technical expert in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, supporting operational excellence initiatives across the site. Partner with production, quality, maintenance and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve performance, standardize best practices, and sustain operational improvements through data-driven decision-making and KPI monitoring.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis (5 Why, A3), PFMEA, control plans and Kaizen events.
- Support manufacturing teams in eliminating process inefficiencies, non-value-added activities, Muda, Muri and Mura to improve productivity, quality, safety and operational performance.
- Perform process characterization studies, process capability analyses, tolerance stack-up evaluations and statistical assessments to define robust process windows and control limits.
- Monitor production and process KPIs, identify deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve overall equipment and process effectiveness.
- Develop, update and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, engineering change notices and training materials.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operators, technicians and junior engineers to ensure process consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing performance, product quality, cost efficiency and process reliability.
- Support the implementation and sustainability of operational excellence standards throughout the site.
Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Organizational Engineering preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, D365, Power BI and Alphacam.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
