Hitachi Energy is looking for a Site Manager to support the successful delivery of high-voltage substation and power infrastructure projects across Spain and neighbouring regions. Combining technical expertise with site leadership, you will act as Hitachi Energys on-site representative, overseeing subcontractors, driving health and safety performance, supporting project cost control, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
This role offers the opportunity to work on critical energy infrastructure projects while receiving specialist training on Hitachi Energy technologies and systems, including Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), within a integral organisation at the forefront of the energy transition.
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day site activities across assigned projects.
Act as Hitachi Energys primary on-site representative, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements.
Manage and supervise subcontractors, including electrical and commissioning contractors,



ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
Verify completed works and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, and potential issues affecting delivery.
Provide early warning notifications to the Project Manager regarding schedule impacts, additional costs, risks, and change requirements.
Support project financial performance through cost monitoring, estimate-to-complete (ETC) forecasting, and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
Manage monthly subcontractor certifications and support contract administration activities.
Take ownership of site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance, working alongside HSE specialists when assigned or independently managing HSE responsibilities where required.
Coordinate commissioning activities and support successful project handover to customers.
