- Define and own the Group's target data architecture on Microsoft Fabric and other appropriate platforms
- Personally build and maintain core Fabric artefacts, including pipelines, lakehouse structures, semantic models and reports
- Lead migration from legacy, on-premise, single-vendor data setups to scalable, governed, cloud-native architecture
- Represent data on the Group's Architecture Review Board and align AI and data initiatives to a single architectural direction
- Establish the Group's first formal data governance framework, including data catalog, data quality rules, ownership/stewardship model, naming conventions and change/version control
- Own the Group Master Data programme covering chart of accounts, cost centres, customers and products
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and local data-protection requirements across jurisdictions
- Take executive ownership of the Helix Fabric-based data platform programme
- Own the programme roadmap, budget and prioritisation
- Define and enforce group-first platform architecture principles
- Manage external data, BI and Fabric delivery partners, including sourcing, RFQ/RFP management, contract negotiation and performance accountability
- Run competitive vendor selection processes and conclude current data-services and data-foundation partnerships
- Balance vendor delivery with sustainable internal capability building
- Build the Group Data team, starting with the approved Data Analyst hire
- Coordinate and integrate data-adjacent contributors into a coherent Group Data function
- Establish working practices, documentation and knowledge transfer
- Partner with Finance and other business functions to translate reporting requirements into durable data architecture




- Represent data topics in the Group AI & Data Council and ensure AI use cases use governed, trustworthy data
- Build relationships with Regional IT leads and local stakeholders across Portugal, France, Ireland, Spain and Italy while driving convergence on group standards

Requirements

- Hands-on experience in data architecture and engineering
- Able and willing to personally build pipelines, data models and reports
- Proven track record designing and implementing modern data architectures, including data lake / warehouse separation, lake-house or medallion patterns, and migration away from legacy on-premise ETL
- Current, practitioner-level experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (OneLake, Data Factory / pipelines, Power BI semantic models, Purview) or clearly transferable Azure Synapse / data platform experience
- Demonstrated ownership of a data governance programme, including data catalog, data quality, master data management, and ownership/RACI frameworks; DAMA-aligned practice is a plus
- Substantial experience managing external vendors and consultancies, including RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiation, and delivery accountability
- Experience building or significantly growing a data team, including hiring, coaching and career development
- Comfortable operating in a decentralised, multi-entity,



multi-ERP environment
- Working knowledge of GDPR and data-privacy practice across multiple EU jurisdictions
- Experience with financial or ERP-adjacent data is highly valued
- Exposure to Business Central or comparable mid-market ERPs is highly valued
- Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing or engineering group is highly valued
- Familiarity with data-foundation work for AI/ML use cases is highly valued
- Fluent English and Spanish required
- Working knowledge of French, Italian and/or Portuguese is an advantage
- Based in Madrid, Spain
- Occasional travel to Group sites in Portugal, France and Ireland may be required
