Experteer Overview
You lead the Reservoir Regulation team to ensure public safety under the Reservoirs Act in England. You will steer strategic priorities within the EA regulatory framework and drive collaboration with senior leaders, industry and stakeholders. The role combines regulatory leadership with change and continuous improvement to deliver high standards. You’ll help shape reform initiatives like the Reservoir Safety Reform Programme and support a diverse, high-performing team.

• Lead on reservoir regulation across England to ensure public safety under the Reservoirs Act 1975
• Manage stakeholder relationships and create collaboration opportunities with senior leaders and external partners
• Set strategic priorities aligned to EA Regulatory strategy and drive operational delivery
• Build and embed a continuous improvement culture to meet changing business needs
• Foster psychological safety to enable confident decision making and innovation
• Manage complex, fast-paced multi-agency risks to uphold public safety




• Provide senior user input for the Reservoir Safety Reform Programme
• Lead a dispersed national team of 20 professionals in regulation of 2140+ large reservoirs

Responsabilidades
• Significant experience in Regulation, Civil Engineering, Law or equivalent
• Strategic leadership with ability to translate strategy into delivery
• Track record of high performance, accountability, and psychological safety
• Innovative thinking and ability to deliver value through new approaches
• Confident, risk-based decision-making under pressure
• Influential collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
