Senior Resident Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector – Based in Spain

Location: Llodio, Spain (near Bilbao)

Duration: 1-year contract

Client: U.S. scientific research organization (DOE-affiliated)

We’re seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to join a high-profile international manufacturing effort supporting energy science innovation.

What You’ll Do:

- Oversee manufacturing activities at a copper coil fabrication site in Spain.

- Review technical documentation (SOW, specs, drawings, etc.).

- Monitor and document manufacturing quality compliance and risks.

- Provide weekly written + visual reports of progress and issues.

- Collaborate with U.S.-based QA, technical, and PM teams.

- Travel to nearby sub-supplier facilities (<75km) for oversight as needed.

Requirements

What You Bring:

- 10+ years in industry,



5+ in QA/QC oversight (manufacturing-focused).

- Strong knowledge of QA standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1, AS9100, DOE O414.1D).

- Experience with copper coil manufacturing, epoxy resins, fiberglass insulation, and VPI (a plus).

- Strong English communication skills (written & verbal).

- Ability to write reports, raise concerns diplomatically, and follow up on corrective actions.

- Work Environment

- Combination of factory floor QA oversight and office-based documentation work.

- Must be able to stand/walk during extended oversight tasks.
