Senior Project Manager – Telecom

Location: Mechelen, Belgium

Work regime: Full-time, fully on-site

Start date: ASAP – preferably 1st or 16th of the month, and no later than 1 October 2026

Duration: Until 31 December 2026, with a strong possibility of long-term extension

About the Role

A leading telecom company is looking for a Senior Project Managers to strengthen its Project Management team.

This is a business-oriented, stakeholder-driven Project Management role rather than traditional IT Project Manager positions focused on technical releases.

You will work on strategic initiatives involving business transformation, delivery coordination and stakeholder alignment within a dynamic telecom environment.

The Project Manager will operate as generalist and may be assigned to multiple strategic initiatives.

The Project Manager will focus broadly on strategic projects, business transformation and cross-functional delivery within the telecom organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead strategic projects from initiation through to delivery.
- Manage business transformation and customer-related initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Align business objectives, customer expectations and operational capabilities.
- Own project planning, governance, reporting, risks and dependencies.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Gather, challenge and validate business requirements.




- Track actions, deliverables and dependencies.
- Proactively identify risks, roadblocks and improvement opportunities.
- Support change management and stakeholder adoption.
- Ensure projects remain on track in terms of scope, timing and objectives.
- Take ownership and drive decisions and actions independently.

Your Profile

Must Have

- 5+ years of experience in Project Management or Program Management.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership.
- Diplomatic and influential communication style.
- Assertive, confident and comfortable challenging stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to maintain a helicopter view.
- Proactive and hands-on approach.
- Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience working in rapidly changing or evolving organizations.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Economics, Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to Have

- Experience in telecommunications, broadband, fiber, HFC, FTTH or wholesale telecom.
- Product Management experience.
- Change Management experience.
- Experience with API-driven service environments.
- French language skills.
