Azure Cloud Architect – 12-Month Contract

Location: Brussels – 8 days per month onsite

Contract: 12-month initial contract + ext

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join a major organisation in Brussels on a long-term cloud transformation programme.

You will work closely with application, DevOps, security and architecture teams to design and improve secure, scalable and resilient Azure cloud solutions. The role combines cloud architecture, automation, governance and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design secure, scalable and highly available Azure cloud and hybrid solutions
- Support application and DevOps teams with cloud architecture and implementation
- Define cloud architecture standards, reusable patterns and best practices
- Develop and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of the Azure cloud platform
- Design resilient solutions covering high availability,



disaster recovery, RTO/RPO and multi-region architecture
- Work closely with Security, Infrastructure, Network, Enterprise and Solution Architects
- Contribute to architecture reviews, cloud governance and security assessments

Key Requirements

- Strong experience as an Azure / Cloud Architect
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Azure DevOps and cloud automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security and governance
- Experience designing highly available and resilient cloud environments
- Experience with disaster recovery, RTO/RPO and multi-region solutions
- Strong experience working across architecture and engineering teams
- Previous experience within banking, financial services or investment management is essential.
