Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific, educational, social and economic development within its area of competence.
VHIR is seeking a Project Officer to join the Medical and Molecular Imagining Research Group. The GRIMM (Medical and Molecular Imaging Research Group) is the group expert in medical imaging within the areas of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) and Nuclear Medicine. The selected person will work under the leadership of the Radiology Service, on the project SHAIPED from the Radiology Department.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinate and manage R&D;&I; projects in the field of medical imaging, radiology, and Artificial Intelligence, including planning, monitoring, and coordinating activities, timelines, milestones, deliverables, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams involving clinicians, researchers, engineers, data scientists, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment between clinical, technical, and research objectives.
- Translate clinical needs and research objectives into clear technical and operational requirements, analysing project needs and supporting the definition of appropriate solutions and activities.
- Support the design, collection, management, preparation, and quality control of clinical and medical imaging datasets, including datasets for AI development, training, validation, and research purposes.
- Coordinate ethical, regulatory, data protection, and governance aspects of research projects, including interactions with Ethics Committees, legal teams, data governance committees, and innovation departments, and contribute to Data Management Plans (DMPs), GDPR-related documentation, an
