Purpose

Ensure the effective routine care and treatment of crops, contributing to the success of plant breeding programs. Maintain a healthy, safe working environment while adhering to breeding protocols.

Key Accountabilities
1. Care and treatment of crops and trials.
2. Execution of emasculations and crossings according crossing scheme
3. Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
4. Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
5. Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.

6. Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment.

Working Conditions
- Working in conditioned climate/high temperatures
- Working outside in different weather conditions
- Weekend shifts
- Includes repetitive work

- Responsible for own projects, overview en communication towards Breeders
- Planning and execution of own, more complex programmes
- Functional guidance of less experienced Crop Workers (level 1 and 2) and seasonal workers
- Direct point of contact for colleauges outside own department
- Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience
