Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support for Students with additional needs:
- Provide daily support to students with physical disabilities and attention difficulties (e.g., ADHD/TDH) throughout the school day.
- Assist students in accessing classroom activities, following routines, and staying engaged in lessons.
- Offer one-on-one or small group support under the guidance of the class teacher or SEND Coordinator (SENDCo).
- Help students with mobility, organization, and transitions between activities or spaces when required.
- Classroom Support:
- Support the class teacher in maintaining an inclusive and structured learning environment.
- Help adapt tasks or materials as directed by the teacher to meet students’ needs.
- Encourage participation, independence, and positive interaction with peers.
- Assist with basic classroom preparation and organization when needed.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Observe and provide feedback to the teacher/SENDCo regarding students’ engagement, behaviour, and well-being.




- Support the implementation of strategies provided by the SEND team.
- Report any concerns related to student safety, emotional well-being, or learning progress.
- Behaviour & Emotional Support:
- Help students regulate their behaviour and emotions using strategies provided by school staff.
- Provide reassurance, encouragement, and guidance to build students’ confidence and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour and respectful interactions in line with the school’s policies.
- Collaboration with Staff:
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCo, and other support staff to ensure consistency in student support.
- Follow instructions and guidance from educational professionals.
- Participate in briefings or meetings when required.
- Support during non-classroom activities:
- Accompany students during breaks, lunch, transitions, and school activities.
- Assist in ensuring the student’s safety and inclusion in all aspects of school life (
