Offer Description
Interested in doing a PhD at the intersection of RF/microwave engineering, 3D printing and biomedicine? The Radiofrequency Group (GRAF) at the University of Barcelona is looking for strong candidates to apply for an FPI/FPU predoctoral fellowship and pursue a PhD within an interdisciplinary research project combining:
Planar RF and microwave sensors
3D-printed structures and devices
Biomedical and bioanalytical applications
Characterization of contrast particles and biological systems
Single-cell characterization
The research will explore new electromagnetic sensor architectures by combining planar RF/microwave technologies with 3D-printed structures, with the aim of developing new tools for measurement and characterization in biomedical applications.
We are looking for candidates with a background in:
Telecommunication Engineering
Electronic Engineering
Biomedical Engineering
Or related fields
Experience or a strong background in electronics, RF/microwave engineering, circuit design, electromagnetics, sensors, instrumentation or electromagnetic simulation will be highly valued.
We are looking for candidates with a strong CV/academic record, experimental skills, an interest in interdisciplinary research, initiative and motivation to pursue a PhD.
