Role Description
The Desktop Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Zurich. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, operating systems, and business software for end users. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, performing troubleshooting, and managing software updates and patches.



The Desktop Engineer will coordinate with other IT teams to support network connectivity, security policies, and asset management, while documenting solutions and maintaining accurate records of incidents and configurations. The role also involves proactively monitoring workstation performance, contributing to IT improvement initiatives, and ensuring a reliable, secure desktop environment for all users.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of desktop computers and related hardware components, with experience in deployment and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in technical support and troubleshooting, including diagnosing and resolving user issues in a structured, timely manner.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and basic familiarity with system administration tools and best practices.
