(Junior) Data Scientist (M/F/d)

You will be part of an international team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers that is responsible for turning data into services and products for XING's jobs market which is used by Millions of users. We work closely together in an agile setting and focus on improving our existing job recommender and job search and developing new data-driven services that benefit the users of XING's jobs market place. For example, we work on features that help job seekers to better understand who their future colleagues may be, models that help forecasting salaries, etc. As a (Junior) Data Scientist your job includes analysis, feature engineering and the development of machine learning models. And it does not stop there:



you also bring your models to production and conduct A/B tests to understand to what extent your models helped people to find a job. By the way: Adaptable remote work from Spain or Germany is possible.

A challenging task
Design and implement new algorithms and Machine learning models for search and recommender services
Contribute to the development of services, batch processes and stream processing components (using programming languages such as Scala, Python or SQL and technologies like Spark, Kafka, etc.) to ship algorithms to our end users
Proactively analyze data assets (e.g. tracking data, profiles, job ads, etc.) and experiment to enhance existing services and create new services
Design and implement components in a sustainable fashion (e.g. automating training of ML models; balance between complexity of models, computational costs, ease of use)
Contribute to our Data Platform by developing reusable data set
