Overall Role Objective:
The primary role of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Educator is to ensure that students with special educational needs receive the support and guidance necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role involves working closely with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create an inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Primary SEN Educator will advocate for the needs of their students, develop individualized strategies, and ensure that every child receives an education tailored to their unique abilities and challenges

Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support for SEN Students:
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, ensuring tailored support based on each student's specific needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles, disabilities, or challenges, ensuring inclusive access to the primary curriculum.




- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to address specific learning, behavioral, or emotional needs of SEN students.
- Classroom Teaching and Lesson Planning:
- Help to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that are accessible to students with diverse learning needs, focusing on their strengths while addressing their challenges.
- Utilize a variety of strategies, including multisensory approaches and assistive technology, to support students’ learning and development.
- Foster supportive, inclusive classroom environments that encourages participation and promotes the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students.
- Assessment and Monitoring of Progress:
- Regularly assess and track the progress of students with SEN, using appropriate assessment tools and strategies (both formal and informal).
