Whale Maritime Spain is part of an international ship supply group serving shipowners, operators and ship managers worldwide. Our Valencia office is the commercial hub for the region, and we are growing.
About the role:
Expect 40–60 outbound calls per day, supported by a high volume of email follow-up. It is demanding, fast-moving work, and it rewards persistence.
What you will do:
•
Identify and contact prospective clients across international shipping markets
•
Make 40–60 outbound calls per day and manage the email follow-up that comes with them
•
Qualify opportunities, quote, negotiate and close
•
Manage and develop your own portfolio of accounts once established
•
Work closely with the wider Valencia commercial desk and the group's international offices
What we are looking for:
•
Fluent English, spoken and written
•
Genuine comfort and confidence on the telephone — this role lives on the phone
•
A hunter mentality: self-motivated, resilient and driven by results
•
Willingness to learn the ship supply and shipping industry from the ground up
•
Based in Valencia, or willing to relocate
No prior industry experience is required. We will teach you the market.
Nice to have:
•
A second language — Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, Turkish, German, Greek or a Scandinavian language are all of particular value to us
•
Previous experience in cold calling, telesales or account management
•
Experience in a commodity, logistics, freight or B2B trading environment
