The Role

You’ll assess complex adolescent presentations, develop clear clinical guidance, and document risk formulations that inform effective, practical responses. Your insights will directly support the development of tools designed to reliably differentiate between ideation, intent, and acute risk, helping non-specialist users respond appropriately in real-world scenarios.

No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

What You’ll Own
- Review adolescent case materials and generate structured, written risk assessments for suicide and self-harm presentations.
- Differentiate between self-harm, suicidal ideation, and suicidal intent, and characterize levels of acuity with precision.
- Recommend appropriate response protocols, including escalation pathways, safety planning such as the Stanley-Brown Safety Planning Intervention, and means-restriction strategies.
- Identify comorbidities, safeguarding concerns,



and contextual factors that may influence risk and incorporate them into assessments.
- Document guidance in clear, research-grade English so non-specialists can confidently implement recommended actions.
- Benchmark and cross-reference risk judgments against established guidelines and peer assessments to ensure consistency and quality.

What We’re Looking For
- 3-5+ years of post-qualification experience with direct adolescent clinical contact focused on suicide and self-harm risk.
- Specialist credentials in child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology, with demonstrated expertise in suicide and self-harm interventions.
- Active clinical license or registration in good standing, with an active adolescent caseload within the past two years.
- Advanced proficiency in suicide and self-harm risk assessment tools, including C-SSRS and established safety planning protocols.
