Estimator (Electrical) -
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team, supporting the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
The role will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates for electrical works across clean water, wastewater, treatment works, pumping stations and associated infrastructure. You will work closely with the pre-construction, engineering, commercial and project delivery teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements, programme expectations and budget constraints.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates, cost plans and tenders for electrical works within the water and wastewater sector.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, schedules and scope information to identify project requirements.
- Develop accurate labour, plant, materials, subcontract and specialist supplier costs.
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Carry out detailed take-offs and quantify electrical equipment,



materials and installation requirements.
- Identify risks, opportunities, exclusions and assumptions within tender packages.
- Liaise with electrical engineers, designers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams to validate estimates.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, civils, process and construction estimators to develop integrated project estimates.
- Support value engineering and identify opportunities to improve cost, programme and constructability.
- Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure estimates are developed in line with company procedures, governance and commercial requirements.
- Participate in tender adjudications and present estimates, assumptions, risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
