WHO ARE WE? Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide general and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol . In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites , located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive. YOUR MISSION Sateliot is seeking a motivated and hands-on Telecommunications Laboratory Technician to join our R&D; team in a training-oriented role. You will support the development and validation of cutting-edge IoT and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) technologies through the setup, operation, and maintenance of laboratory testbeds. This position is designed for students looking for an internship that offers a strong practical learning experience in real R&D; environments.
You will work closely with engineers to build, configure, and test communication systems involving IoT devices, satellite links, and network infrastructure. Your mission will focus on gaining hands-on experience while contributing to ongoing R&D; activities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS Support the setup, assembly, and maintenance of communication testbeds, including both hardware and software components. Assist in the integration of IoT devices, modems, and embedded systems within lab environments. Perform test execution and data collection for IoT and NTN communication experiments. Support the configuration and operation of Linux-based systems (e.g., Raspberry Pi) used in testbeds. Collaborate in basic scripting and automation tasks (e.g., Python) for testing and data handling.
