Description
Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
To be part of this project, we are looking for Ground Segment System Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Perform Ground Segment systems engineering activities with a focus on multi-orbit satellite constellations.
- Analyse mission and programme needs and define, manage and flow down Ground Segment system requirements.
- Develop and maintain system specifications, architecture descriptions, detailed design documentation, design justification files and Interface Control Documents.
- Define and coordinate internal and external interfaces across Ground Segment subsystems, customers, users and the space segment.
- Define the system verification and validation approach and support integration and test activities at Ground Segment and end-to-end levels.
- Conduct technical reviews and coordinate engineering actions with subcontractors, customers and institutional stakeholders.
- Support architectural trade-offs, requirements compliance analysis and technical risk management.
- Support the resolution of system-level anomalies throughout integration, validation and operations.
Minimum requirements
- Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in satellite Ground Segment projects.
- Experience interfacing with customers and subcontractors in complex engineering programmes.
- Experience in institutional projects.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and cybersecurity principles applicable to Ground Segment systems.
- Knowledge of satellite communications and Ground Segment engine
