Description
Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
To be part of this project, we are looking for 5G CN & Network Senior Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Define 5G Core Network requirements for the IRIS² multi-orbit satellite system.
- Define the high-level hardware and software architecture of the 5G Core Network and associated network functions and interfaces.
- Define implementation, integration and test plans for the proposed 5G Core and network subsystems.
- Perform the technical follow-up of subcontractor activities related to design, requirements compliance, development and validation.
- Support higher-level integration of 5G Core and network subsystems into the Ground Segment and end-to-end service architecture.
- Support architectural trade-offs for the integration of satellite and terrestrial 5G networks, including control-plane and user-plane connectivity.
- Support the resolution of technical anomalies during validation and operations.
Minimum requirements
- Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications networks.
- Strong knowledge of mobile-network architecture, including Core Network, RAN and auxiliary services.
- Experience with 5G Core architecture and the implementation or integration of 3GPP Core Network functions.
- Expert knowledge of terrestrial 3GPP standards and familiarity with 3GPP NTN evolution.
- Experience with resource allocation, service orchestration and control-plane interfaces.
- Experience in the development, integration and testing of 4G or 5G systems.
