Main Purpose

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our growing freight forwarding business in Spain.

This is a hands-on role, based in Madrid, for a logistics professional who combines strong ocean freight expertise with proven business development capabilities. The candidate will develop new business through their existing network. They will strengthen current customer relationships and help grow them. They will contribute to growing our activities in Spain.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and implement a business development strategy for the Spanish market, with a particular focus on maritime cargo transportation.
Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers across relevant industries and trade lanes.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
Leverage your existing network and customer portfolio to generate immediate commercial opportunities.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing,



and account development.
Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, pricing, and service solutions in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and worldwide shipping movements to identify new business opportunities.
Achieve agreed revenue, gross profit, and business development targets

Account Management & Customer Development

Act as a trusted commercial partner for key customers.
Understand customers’ supply-chain requirements and develop tailored logistics solutions.
Find opportunities to increase customer share of wallet and introduce additional services.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and proactively address commercial issues.
Coordinate closely with operations and other internal collaborators to ensure excellent customer service and operational execution.
