ICFO is offering postdoctoral positions to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.
- Conduct research and development in mid-infrared (mid-IR) photonics, thermal photonics, and nanophotonics.
- Perform numerical simulations using tools such as Lumerical FDTD and COMSOL Multiphysics to design and analyze optical systems.
- Carry out optical characterization of materials using techniques including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and spectroscopic ellipsometry.
- Document methodologies, results, and findings in technical reports and scientific publications.

Applicants must hold a PhD in photonics and have strong background in physics, applied physics, or engineering.
- Analytical handling of light propagation, blackbody radiation, light scattering
- IR properties of materials
- Phonon polaritons

semi-analytical methods (Reticolo or other)
