The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher.

This position will be funded by the Severo Ochoa project CEX2024-001469-S (MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033).

ICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in a collaborative project led by Prof.Garcia-Suero. Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Synthetic Organic Chemistry/Chemical Biology to work in a peptide/protein bioconjugation project under the supervision of Professor Marcos García Suero at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) for a period of three years funded by the Severo Ochoa project CEX2024-001469-S (MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033).

Responsibilities
- Writing reports, preparation of scientific articles, and presentation of results in group meetings and conferences.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment (LC-MS)
- Complete documentation of research results.

Requirements:
- PhD in Organic Chemistry with demonstrated track record on reaction invention and development.
- Proven good level of written and spoken English.




- Strong commitment for scientific excellence.

Valued qualities
- Demonstrated experience in the invention and development of protein/peptide bioconjugations
- Experiences in photochemistry, photocatalysis, metal-catalyzed C-H bond functionalization, radical chemistry or asymmetric catalysis.
- Peptide synthesis.
- Experience in LC-MS and LC-MS/MS analysis
- Experiences in SDS or fluorescence gel electrophoresis, tryptic digestion and any other proteomic technique.
