Job Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager of the resort and the Group Maintenance Manager of Couples Resorts. The incumbent is accountable for the leadership of all maintenance services at the Resort. This goal is achieved through an efficient team of highly skilled and adaptable maintenance colleagues.

Duties & responsibilities are not limited to but includes:
- Arranging for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, facilities and property in general
- Inspecting the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
- Agreeing and managing budgets expenses and activity logs
- Planning and overseeing renovations and construction




- Organizing repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
- Acting fast to resolve emergency issues, i.e., issues that directly impacts the comfort and effectiveness of employees, guest experience and preservation of company assets.
- Finding ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
- Handling administrative duties
- Managing relationships with contractors and service providers:
- Manage disciplinary and grievance issues
- Demonstrate sound knowledge to design and maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Programme
- Develop and maintain the Engineering Operations Manual so as to include the schedule and detailed content of the Ken-Fix-It programme.
- See to the correct planning, budgeting and development of new projects, always using the guides laid down in Couples Resorts Proj
