Data Centre Investment and Development Lead, Spain and Portugal

We're working with a state-backed clean energy and data centre platform that is investing across Spain and Portugal. It is a genuine start-up sitting inside serious institutional capital, so the pace is high, the structure is light, and whoever joins will be building the business rather than inheriting one.

They're looking for someone who can structure the investment and understand the asset underneath it, rather than one or the other.

What you'd be doing:

Originating and structuring data centre investments across the Spanish and Portuguese markets
Building the financial case, from project finance and structured debt through to partnership and offtake structures
Assessing sites on power, grid, land and permitting alongside the commercial return
Engaging hyperscalers, AI cloud tenants and co-investors directly
Working in a small,



dynamic international team spanning Europe and the Gulf

What we're looking for:

Investment or corporate development experience in data centres or digital infrastructure specifically, rather than adjacent infrastructure
The financial engineering to structure a deal, whether that came from investment banking, private equity or an infrastructure fund
Enough grasp of the operating asset to judge whether a site and a tenant genuinely work together
Someone who wants the pace and the ambiguity of an early-stage platform rather than the machinery of a large corporate
Willingness to be based in the region the role covers, with international travel
