Job DescriptionThe Accountant is responsible for executing core accounting tasks to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. This includes posting journal entries, maintaining general ledger accuracy, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. The role ensures the integrity of financial data in line with IFRS and local accounting standards. YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
ResponsibilitiesOperational Accounting
- Process journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts in line with accounting procedures, approval rules, and reporting deadlines.
- Perform recurring reconciliations of key balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying differences and supporting their timely resolution.
- Support fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, accrual postings, prepaid expenses, provisions, reclassifications, and other standard accounting activities.
- Ensure that accounting entries are complete, accurate, properly supported, and recorded in the correct period.
- Collaborate with finance colleagues and relevant business stakeholders to clarify transactional information and resolve basic accounting issues.
Closing and Accounting Documentation
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities by preparing entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Follow closing instructions and deadlines to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain organized documentation for journal entries, reconciliations, approvals, supporting evidence, and accounting files.
