Purchasing representative within cross-functional project teams from acquisition phase through SOP, responsible for supplier sourcing, cost management, supplier readiness, and technical feasibility to support successful product launches across the Americas region.
Responsibilities
• Manage sourcing activities from RFQ release through supplier nomination and project launch.
• Analyze supplier quotations and support sourcing decisions based on commercial and technical evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, tooling investments, and commercial terms to achieve project cost targets.
• Monitor supplier development activities, APQP progress, qualification status, and project timing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Category Management throughout the sourcing process.
• Support localization initiatives and implementation of purchasing strategies.




• Drive cost reduction and design-to-cost initiatives while ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams in a integral environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Project Purchasing within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, APQP, PPAP and supplier development.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, commercial agreements, cost analysis and procurement strategies.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, SupplyOn and purchasing-related systems.
• Experience working in multicultural and international business environments.
