Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Enology
- Min. 2 years of laboratory experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Job responsibilities:
- Overseeing and administering the day-to-day operation of the Lab
- Purchasing all required lab equipment and supplies as necessary
- Calibrating and maintaining lab equipment in good working condition
- Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory space
- Detailed record keeping of lab results and maintaining of wine database system
- Preparing reagents, standards, and solutions
- Performing juice or wine analysis in a timely fashion. Includes but not limited to pH, TA, VA, ALC, DO, Glu/Fru, FSO2, TSO2, color index, L- Malic, YAN, heat / cold stability
- Setting up various wine bench trials as requested by winemaking team
- Collecting samples from tanks, barrels, and bins
- Bottling QC: tank preparation according to winemaker’s specification, packaging evaluation, fill heights, cork moisture,
vacuum test, DO
- Directing and supervising production staff to assist in performing sampling, additions, inoculations, and other enology-related tasks as necessary
- Ensuring and monitoring regulatory legal compliance
- Acting as the Winery’s liaison with other wine labs
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring of temporary supplemental production staff during the peak production season, the supervising and directing their work
- Participating in winemaking-related marketing and promotional events, as requested
- All other such enology-related duties as the Enologist believes is necessary or as the Winery may reasonably require from time to time

Salary: 1,500.00€ - 2,000.00€ per month
