Process Mining Consultant – Celonis (Contract)

Location: Spain (Madrid area) – Hybrid, with periodic on-site travel required

Engagement: Contract

Duration: 6 Months (extendable)

The adecuado candidate will independently lead a data engineering team on Process Intelligence (Celonis) implementation projects, working with process data of varying complexity across industries — while remaining hands-on with the technology. This role is responsible for making digital business processes transparent and harmonizing data flow through Process Intelligence Technology, data extraction, and transformation.

Responsibilities

- Independently lead a data engineering team delivering Process Intelligence solutions using Celonis
- Remain hands-on — develop and deploy solutions alongside the team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Lead setup of data extraction pipelines using both out-of-the-box and custom connectors
- Apply strong working knowledge of Celonis ETL — Extraction, SQL Transformations, Data Pools, Data Jobs
- Use Vertica SQL to create custom activities in Celonis
- Optimize data pipeline performance
- Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Allocate work,



review deliverables, and mentor data engineers on the team

Technical Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Knowledge Models, Views, Analysis
- Strong knowledge of Celonis front-end functions — PQL, PU functions
- Experience integrating Process Intelligence tools with existing systems
- Ability to serve as liaison across business analysts, PMs, and stakeholders
- Experience with Action Flows, Action Views, and ML capabilities for operationalizing Celonis
- Current knowledge of Celonis' latest AI capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

- 8+ years Data Engineering/analytics experience, strong SQL and relational database background
- Demonstrated experience independently leading a data engineering team
- Prior ERP experience (SAP ECC / S/4HANA / Oracle Cloud / Oracle EBS R12) with strong process understanding

Preferred Qualifications

- BE/BTech or MS/MTech in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Proven analytics skills — mining, evaluation, analysis, visualization
- Celonis certification (Data Engineer / Analyst / Implementation Professional)
