Job Overview

Modern Decorative is offering an intern sponsorship award of £600 a month plus net profit share for an accounting internship. Spanish and English speaking is essential. This internship provides an opportunity to push creative accounting skills, work on a groundbreaking project, and gain insight into the arts and antique e‑commerce sector.

At present a UK business, we are forming a Spanish SL company to adapt to post‑Brexit changes. The role involves supporting the new business, sourcing specialist Spanish accounting services, researching appropriate accounting platforms for VAT calculation in the art and antiques sector, setting up the chosen platform, and integrating it with our work management and CRM system (bitrix24.com).

Responsibilities

- Review financial statements, expenses and previous tax returns to identify the best strategy for organizing and monitoring.
- Present quarterly and yearly financial reports to management.
- Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents and receipts.
- Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards.
- Analyze annual budget and record transactions requiring follow‑up documentation.
- Create personal and business invoices and request payment for services rendered.
- Gather appropriate materials regarding yearly tax tables, instructions and forms to accurately calculate taxes for clients.
- Work closely with clients and businesses to obtain personal information regarding potential deductions,



educational grants or allowances.
- Source a specialist Spanish accounting company to advise in the field of art and antiques.
- Research and source suitable accounting platforms to enable the calculation of the various VAT methods used in the art and antique business.
- Set up the chosen accounting platform and integrate it with our work management and CRM system (bitrix24.com).
- Implement a monthly internship reward payment scheme and a net profit share scheme for interns.
- Establish a 3‑way profit share between shareholders, contractors, interns, and customers.

Qualifications

- Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not essential.
- Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes and accurate preparation of forms.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills.
- Experience consulting tax handbooks or other printed materials to determine proper procedures for challenging returns.
- Proficiency using various accounting software and troubleshooting common accounting program problems.
- Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information.
- Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (both speaking and written).
