Key Responsibilities

- Strengthen the ICT and AI risk management framework within CITO.
- Conduct Business Risk Assessments for AI solutions, cloud services, and IT initiatives.
- Identify and assess operational, cybersecurity, regulatory, contractual, and fraud risks.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of AI governance.
- Ensure alignment with the European AI Act, DORA, GDPR, CRA, and other applicable regulations.
- Assess risks related to AI models, training data, LLMs, and third-party AI services.
- Define and monitor remediation plans and risk mitigation measures.
- Advise on cloud risks, outsourcing, critical suppliers, and exit strategies.
- Support compliance with ICT risk management requirements and expectations of the National Bank of Belgium.
- Contribute to risk management dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
- Support AI4IT transformation programmes by integrating risk, compliance, resilience, and fraud prevention.
- Prepare documentation and recommendations for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.

Required Experience





- 10+ years of experience in IT Risk, IT Governance, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, Internal Control, or Risk Management.
- Experience in the financial services or insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of IT risk management and governance frameworks.
- Experience working with IT, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data, and Digital teams.
- Experience with cloud environments, outsourced services, and ICT third-party risks.
- Knowledge of DORA, GDPR, and third-party management frameworks.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies.
- Knowledge of the obligations and requirements under the European AI Act.
- Experience assessing risks related to AI models, training data, LLMs, and third-party AI services.
- Understanding of operational resilience and cybersecurity challenges related to AI systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
