Metrology R&D; Engineer - CD-SEM / e-beam

Our client, a leading semiconductor research and technology organisation, is looking for a Metrology R&D; Engineer to join their cleanroom operations team. This is an initial 12 month contract with extensions likely, working 100% onsite in Leuven.

What will you do?

- Operate E-beam inspection and metrology systems directly in the cleanroom, supporting recipe creation, data collection and data analysis for the 3D hybrid bonding programme and in-resist scumming investigations, as a starting point
- Act as the technical metrology and inspection point of contact between customers, integration teams and process teams for the projects involved
- Organise and maintain documentation in a central SharePoint
- Deliver new best-known methods (BKMs) for offline data analysis of SEM acquired images, and own the up-to-date maintenance of existing ones
- Report results and project progress in review meetings

Your background:

- M.Sc. degree in Applied Sciences, Material Engineering or Electronics, with at least 2-3 years of experience




- Hands-on experience in metrology within a high-tech cleanroom environment
- Experience with CD-SEM/e-beam tools is considered a plus
- Proactive, positive and hands-on, with a strong willingness to learn
- Flexibility and resilience when facing change or ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills in English
